Product Description
XM-19 Stainless Steel provides a combination of corrosion resistance and strength not found in any other commercial material available in its price range,is a highly fabricable, highly weldable, nitrogen strengthened, austenitic stainless steel
To achieve maximum hardness, use cold working. Because of XM-19's high tendency toward work hardening, process anneal the work piece after forming to relieve stress.
Stainless has very good mechanical properties at both elevated and sub-zero temperatures. And, unlike many austenitic stainless steels, XM-19 does not become magnetic when cold worked.

APPLICATION
Even after extreme forming, XM-19 Stainless Steel stays non-magnetic. Due to all these advantages, it is often used in boat shafting, marine hardware, pumps, valves, and fasteners.
